Electro Watchman Alarm, Inc. was formed in late 1971 by founder, Marty Cohen. Started in his home office in Brooklyn, NY he began selling and installing burglar alarms to local businesses around Marine Park. He quickly expanded to all of Brooklyn and the other boros of NY. In 1994, Marty picked up his family and business to Manalapan, NJ. The business rapidly grew in size due to the expansion of the Rt. 9 corridor. Because of the business growth, his son, Larry, came on board full time.

After graduating college in 1999, Larry Cohen, son of Martin Cohen, decided to join the firm full time. He took on the responsibility of overseeing sales and installations. He personally goes to every job, making sure the installation is of the highest standard.
